Scanning so I wont forget

I am only 20. I could still forget that smile. I could still forget her kindness. I could forget how she was like. Almost half my life she has been sick. Thats not a long time but it is when you have only had 20 years with someone you love so much. I don't ever want to forget the way she was, but I can already see that I am.

So I spent 2 hours scanning photos today. I will preserve at least in a photographic form. Her smile, her eyes, her loving hug. There will be more photo's posted later. For now I just want to stare at this one. I miss her so much.

oh stef,
you remind me so much of one of my nieces. and i mean that in the most positive ways. so sensitive, caring and wearing your emotions on your sleeve. please don't change, you're the best.
i love that picture of you with nonna. keep on scanning!

Great picture Stef. I know what you mean about forgetting. I have known Helen for 32 years and I really don't remember too much of her now before AD. I think the stress we are all under effects our memory too.

Great image!

I have Lion King by the way. Going to try and watch it Friday evening.

Glad you liked Anne Morrow Lindbergh - she is one of my favorites.
